We share Christ in our city,
our nation and our world.
Jesus gave His Church a mandate to reach the world in three areas:
“You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea
and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8
“Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.” James 1:27
The primary way we reach our cities is through our Sunday services, small groups, and through our partnerships with local ministries such as Crisis Pregnancy Center, Children’s Hunger Fund, and Christ Cares. Each August, Woodlands is a host site for Willow Creek’s annual Global Leadership Summit, which has open registration for the community.
At Woodlands, all small groups are required to complete a service or outreach project atleast one time per semester. From building a community garden, to providing care for homeless individuals in our area, we have witnessed dozens of lives impacted through the work of our small groups.
“In Judea and Samaria”
“Whatever a person is like, I try to find common ground with him so that he will let me tell him about Christ and let Christ save him.” 1 Corinthians 9:22
The primary way we reach our Nation is by starting new churches and strengthening existing churches through Converge Worldwide and Converge Mid-America (local district) ...Read More
“To the ends of the earth”
"Jesus said to His followers, ‘Go everywhere in the world, and tell the Good News to everyone.’" Mark 16:15
The primary way we reach our world is through strategic missions.
Woodlands strategically invests a portion of its resources in missions work all around the world with a focus on unreached people groups, orphans and church planting. We partner with The Timothy Initiative and Converge to reach the unreached and plant churches. We partner with CAFO and Hands & Feet Project in Haiti to come alongside orphans. We have missionaries currently in Asia and Mexico.
